In Love with Käring Island

Pilen Cykel donates bicycles to the Swedish Sea Rescue Service at Käringön - Käring Island. In early August the Avander family from Målilla traveled across Sweden to Käringön in Bohuslän with new fresh Pilen bicycles. On Käringön it is not permitted for vehicular traffic and there are no roads. Only trails, bicycle paths, bridges and rocks.

But the Sea Rescue personnel must be able to get to their boats in the shortest possible time and therefore has exemption to ride a bike. Pilen donated 5 bicycles to the station and visited them. A fantastic experience.

"Käring" is most probable the same word as the English "cairn". Thus, Käringön means Cairn Island.
